Human beings are such complex creatures with the most sophisticate nature which almost impossible to specifically describe. In Il Principe (The Prince) by Niccolo Machiavelli, he mentioned of human nature.
According to Machiavelli, the greatest moral good is a virtuous and stable state, and actions to protect the country are therefore justified even if they are cruel. Machiavelli strongly suggests, however, that the prince must not be hated. And I quote one of my favorite phrase, "...a wise prince should establish himself on that which is his own control and not in that of others; he must endeavor to avoid hatred, as is noted." Although his theory dedicated to political theories and principles in order to achieve stable government but i found that it is much useful and practically applicable to our general life. You gain words of wisdom from him. In his book, Niccolo went in a great depths into analyze human nature in order to formulate his idea. He mentioned of integrity, mercy, honesty, humaneness...etc... somewhat disillusion. I notice that we only learn to hide our evilness. However, the ideas that we love according to our own will, we control because we fear and we are hated because we trespass others' interest still of relevant. I remember the most, learn and master the art of deceit then you are powerful. Niccolo attempts to justify the use of deceit and other vices by pointing out that other people are often dishonest and evil, and thus it is a prince's only choice to also be dishonest and not adhere to strict codes of propriety.
At this point, have you ever wonder what the people around you made of? Are they in sincerity or merely put up a mask to greet you everyday. Are we today living in a world of hypocrite?

Yes, no doubt there truly exists such hypocrites in this world! In fact, We are
ReplyDeletesurrounded by most of them. Strangers, people in the government and even family and
friends. But there are a number of others who are not. You cannot sum up all peoples
to be as such deceitful and heartless human beings. These people you must search and
know for they will be your treasures. Never mind the hypocrites and the perjurers.
Just hope that one day they may find and change in spirituality and to good conscience. Keep in mind, that the end is not justifiable by its means. And for sure, there will come a time when evil meets its end and there will be glory to all that is good. It's Karma and there is no escaping it. So which path will you choose? To be true to yourself or to be deceitful? And why such a choice? I believe these are the choices that you will consider in knowing how you will live your life. Consider also that with the choices you make, they always come with given responsibilities. Are you up to it? If you one day hold an office, will your decisions only affect you? or are they for the better of the community? Hypocrites are selfish, too. For they will always resort to all means just for their personal gains. Is that fair? Do you favor such an act? Moreover, do you think you can even trust such a dishonest person? Do make the right choice according to your inner conscience and not by what the art of deception dictates. Be compassionate, magnanimous and most of all honest. For it is not only in deceit that you gain power; but by being an honorable person, you also gain glory and prestige. In my humble opinion: deceit will only mean your downfall.
